This tiny outlying municipality of Albany is very scenic and tranquil. Routes 85 and 156 pass through the village and carry visitors from the Capital Region to getaways like Thompson's Lake, Thatcher Park, and the Huyck Nature Preserve (also Indian Ladder's apple farm and cider donuts!!). If you're not from the area, your most likely need of an attorney will come from being issued a speeding ticket, or DWI if you live fairly close by, maybe in Delmar or Bethlehem.
Our attorneys (Law Office of Ken McCauley) take all manner of cases handled by the Voorheesville Village Justice Court. This includes criminal matters, traffic infractions, small claims (up to $3000), civil matters, and village ordinance violations and evictions. Our fees vary depending on each particular situation, but VTL violations (most moving violations) are usually a total of $200. More complex cases like DWI, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and other crimes will usually command a substantially higher fee. However, we do offer payment plans and student as well as military discounts for active service men and women and veterans.
We are very proud of our level of service and attention to detail in each case and every case and we believe that is supported by our excellent results. Feel free to read our reviews or speak with attorney Rakesh Joshi or Ken McCauley for more information.
